Maariv plans free evening edition

​Free Israeli newspaper Maariv is plannning to launch a free afternoon edition according to IsraelNationalNews.

Shlomo Ben-Tzvi, owner and publisher of the Maariv daily newspaper, said at the Eilat Journalism Conference that the newspaper will soon launch a new free evening edition.

Maariv lost readers and circulation, while the most popular newspaper in the country is free daily newspaper Yisrael Hayom.

Also free daily Israel Post (by Jeruzalem Post) is published in the afternoon.

Shlomo Ben-Tzvi was earlier involved in free daily HaYisraeli (20060-2007).
