Urgent calls as Kalahari faces widespread loss of bird species
There has been another call on political leaders to implement drastic changes to the ways the earth’s resources are being used in order to curb climate change, as more evidence emerged or its dire consequences. Hardly a week passes without new evidence – written or witnessed – or the effects of climate change. Now, researchers in South Africa warn that the Kalahari Desert could lose much of its bird species before the end of the century if conditions persist.
